"Entrepreneurship Thru Stewardship"

"To help every Filipino become fruitful in every part of their lives by teaching them."

Dodong is a businessman and a farmer from Bukidnon. But before being a farmer, he is foremost, an entrepreneur. While agriculture is the business He uses to provide for my family, it is his entrepreneurial abilities that have allowed me to profit from one of the most difficult business he has encountered, which is farming.

He owns and operates Moriah Farms, Inc. He also founded Semilya Sa Kinabuhi, a foundation where he shares the business principles we use in our hope to help others become fruitful as well.

He used to work in Makati for Hewlett-Packard as Assistant Country Manager for their Test and Measurement Division until 1998 when he moved his family to Bukidnon, a place where they neither had families nor friends.

Moriah Farms started out as a contract grower for Monterey Foods, Corp. But today, it is a bio-diversified farm, where they grow assorted kinds of livestock and high-value crops, all naturally grown and free from antibiotics and pesticides. From 2002 to 2010, they became the biggest lettuce supplier of McDonald’s and KFC for the country.

Because of their success, in 2004, several businessmen came, asking him to teach them how he manages their business. So he shared with them how he uses the Bible as a business manual while using the plant as a model to understand the process of making a business profitable. This was when and why Semilya Sa Kinabuhi was born.

He believes that his experience in the corporate world and the things he learned as a farmer has made him a better entrepreneur. These things have also put him in a unique position to help people understand how to make the most of what they have, through stewardship, so that they can create a better future for themselves, through entrepreneurship.
